Turn eRepublik GOLD into Real Life Money

While waiting for eRepublik to launch an exchange for GOLD to Real Currencies, a player in eRepublik created a betting company that pays in Real Life cash.

The “King of the Hill” of Virtual Worlds – SecondLife.com has a well established currency exchange on their website.  You can Buy and Sell Linden Dollars at a dynamic exchange rate.

Such a feature would be wonderful for eRepublik to develop.

Meanwhile, a Romanian entrepreneur which goes by the name of Nicolae Iorga created eBets, a company where you can bet GOLD and win Real Money.

How does this work?
You donate 10 gold to eBets and start betting. You can bet everyday by commenting in the eBets Newspaper.

At the end of each day you will have more gold in your account, if you chose the winning bet.

When you reach 50 GOLD (you win many bets and eBets owes you 50 GOLD) Nicolae Iorga will send you a bank transfer worth of 100 RON (RON is the Romanian currency).

100 RON = 42.6 USD = 27.26 EUR

That is 27.26 Euros for 50 eRepublik GOLD.

It seems that this opportunity is for Romanian players only but I am confident that Nicolae Iorga can find a way to pay international players through PayPal.

I feel that a  currency exchange system would be a great feature and would bring  many new players to the game.  I am talking about hundreds of thousands of new players, based on that feature alone.

In my humble opinion, as a web-consultant and freelancer I KNOW that this feature is also EASY to implement. Link the user accounts to PayPal and other options, have some additional security installed and you’re off.

You will have a great advantage while promoting the game. Your marketing department will be happier. It will truly be more than a game/social network/simulator. The best eManagers will be rewarded in Real Life also.

I wanted to know if I can use the articles from my newspaper on blogs. You are saying that I cannot use the articles on my websites?

After I write an article in my newspaper it becomes the property of eRepublik.com?

Just curious .. how so many “fan sites” are using content from the articles in the game and are running Adsense campaigns. And it is not their own articles, that’s what is bothering me.
